Chris Priestley is an illustrator and writer based in Cambridge. I came across his work while looking for ideas for drawings of graveyards. The image below is the one that I saw first. All of these images are from his book 'Anything That Isn't This' aimed at teens. I really like the amount of texture that he is able to get into his images. It seems to balance out how limited the colour palette is and makes for a really stark, bold image. Seeing how he is able to create so much atmosphere through form and texture is really inspiring when I think about my own work and use of a more limited colour palette.
