William Santiago is a Brazilian illustrator. The project below is from the project 'casinha' (meaning 'little house'). It is an older piece of work by him, created in 2015, much of his more recent work features much brighter colours. I was drawn to these pieces because of the compositions and the muted background colours. It is interesting to look at this project in relation to unit X, but it is also interesting to look at his practise as a whole to see how it has developed since this project and evolved throughout time. Makes me wonder where my own practise will be in five or six years time.
