At this point in the project I have all the 'pieces' of my animation and have to now fit them all together. To do this I used Adobe PremierePro, this is the same method that I used for my "Growing Old" animation.
I did encounter some issues doing this, for some of the GIFs needed a transparent background but they exported from Procreate with a kind of black stroke around them. I did not want this so I put the layers into PhotoShop to export them again as videos (.mov) with transparent backgrounds so that they could seamlessly integrate into my animation.
This is the stage where the idea of silent film captions, that had previously been discussed in a tutorial, came into play. I found the font 'Hammerkeys' on DaFont and felt that it worked really well with the feel of my animation. I used this to type lines from the poem to break up the scenes of the animation, I also put an old film filter over these parts. I feel like it really ties the whole animation together and matches the style so well. It also really nicely ties the animation back to the poem that it is based on.
